Mother's Day Card plus My First Time with Fabric

I made the Mother's Day Card for my dh's daughter-in-law.  I really like how it turned out.  The ls tee is my first attempt at cutting fabric with my E....my daughter loved how it turned out, but it came off, even though I used Heat 'n' Bond permanent.  Any ideas or hints would be welcomed!
